Nathan Altman (1889-1970).
Nathan Isaevich Altman was a Jewish, Russian and Soviet avant-garde artist, Cubist painter, stage designer and book illustrator who was born, grew up and began his art studies in Ukraine, Russian Empire.
He worked mainly for the theatre, as a book illustrator and an author of essays about art.
