Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989).
The light on the back of the girl (Ana Maria, his sister), enhances one of Dali’s favorite employed elements.
Salvador and Ana Maria were very close each other, particularly after the death of their mother. She was his only female model until Gala replaced her in 1929.
The landscape behind the window is the bay of Cadaques, where Dali used to stay in the summer.
Garcia Lorca kept great memories about the view from that window at the awakens, like wonderful, as a beautiful dream.
